Program Objectives

The programme aims to provide a step-by-step review of biological and chemical literature through a curriculum of in-depth study.

Course Duration:

Minimum one year.

Maximum two year.

Medium of Instruction: English

Program Eligibility

A candidate seeking admission to the above programme must passed B.Sc. examination in Biology or B.Sc. in Maths/Statistics with Biology as one of the subjects in 10+2 examination, from a recognized institution. No age bar.

Fee Structure:

Course Fee Rs. 10,000 (payable at the time of admission)

Examination Fee Rs. 150 per paper (payable before examination)

Note: All fees shall be paid by the students through Bank Draft only, in             favour of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi

Course Structure:

There would be following seven papers each of 100 marks including 20 marks for internal assessment.

Basics of Bio-computing

Bio Statistics

Biological Databases and their Management

Computational Biology

Biochemistry

Microbiology

Submission of Application

The application form on the attached prescribed form for admission, completed in all respects, together with Demand Draft of the amount as indicated against each course payable to the Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi should be sent by post or submitted in person to the Director, Directorate of Open and Distance Learning or to the Study Centres mentioned in this brochure.

Enclosures:

• Mark sheets: Two sets of Xerox copies of Mark-sheets of qualifying/last  attended examination
• High School, Higher Secondary (10+2), Graduation, Post Graduation.
• Photographs: Two recent passport size photographs.
• Envelopes Three Self Addressed Envelopes, duly Stamped should be enclosed   with the application form
